WHO WE ARE
Oneida Gospel Church is a close-knit family, bound together through the Word of Christ.
WORD OF CHRIST: God's Word, the Bible, infuses all we do, pointing us to Jesus. Our expository sermons express and apply the Bible's original meaning as we work through books verse by verse. Our groups prayerfully engage the Bible and Bible reading plans. Our children internalize the Christ-focused nature of the Bible in Sunday School. Leaders rely on God's Word as they make decisions.

CLOSE-KNIT FAMILY: Affection for others runs thick at Oneida. Our elders lead through service. We spend ourselves for the hurting. We laugh, play, and linger after the service. There are decades of friendship alongside brand-new friends. We have a legacy of pastors who have served for over 20 years, as the congregation cares for and protects them. We are family rooted in Scripture as the Spirit teaches us to love and imitate the Father, and His Son.

WE BELIEVE
The Bible is God’s Word, supernaturally inspired so that it is without error in the original texts and preserved by God in its verbal, complete inspiration; it is the absolute rule of truth for every age and every life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

God exists eternally in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - and these three are one God. (2 Corinthians 13:14)

God is the absolute and sole creator of the universe, and that creation was by divine order, not through evolutionary process. (John 4:24; John 1:3-4)

God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent Christ into the world to save sinners. (John 3:16)

Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man, was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life, in which He taught and did mighty works and wonders and signs exactly as revealed in the Gospels. He was crucified, died for all mankind’s sins and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day. Later He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is head of the church and intercedes for believers, and from where He is coming again personally, bodily, visibly to this earth to set up His millennial Kingdom. (Matthew 1:22-23)
Because of His death and shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect sacrifice for sin, redeeming us from eternity in Hell. In turn, all men can be acquitted and cleared of sin on the simple and single ground of Jesus’ shed blood on the cross. (Isaiah 53:5)
Salvation provides forgiveness of sins, and by it’s gifting us with a new nature we have the hope of eternal life which is entirely separate from our good works, baptism, church membership - or man’s effort - it’s pure grace. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
All who receive Christ take on the identity of Christ, and can find freedom from the bondage of sin. At death, our spirits depart to be with Christ and at the Lord’s return we are raised to dwell with Christ forever with new bodies. (Galatians 3:29)
It is the goal of every Christian to grow to become more like Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. (John 14:15-17)
The Holy Spirit is a person, is God, and possesses all the divine attributes. He indwells all believers and gives gifts to all believers as stated in I Corinthians 12. He baptizes and seals all believers at the moment of their salvation, and fills them in response to confession and repentance (I Corinthians 12:11). He anoints and empowers the believer to hear God’s heart for the sake of the Kingdom in accordance with His Word.
